The first two episodes of Glee’s final season premiered last night, and — as has become the standard over the last few years — the two hours were a bit of a mixed bag, with WTF plot points galore combined with some truly stellar music moments. Several of the original cast regulars briefly returning in episode two — including Dianna Agron, Amber Riley, Mark Salling, and more — certainly helped to brighten things up. There is no joy like watching Heather Morris Brittany and Naya Rivera Santana singing and dancing together, in this case on a football field in cheerleader uniforms. Of course in this case, the singing and dancing was to “Problem,” the Ariana Grande hit featuring Big Sean, who is also Rivera’s real-life recent ex-fiancee. So that must have been a weird day on set. A quick catch up: Everything has gone to ish for all our favorite Lima stars.
Patrick’s day in my house is crazy. He was “born wanting to be a storyteller,” using both writing and acting as ways to entertain people and escape reality. He was also active in the drama club , the FFA , “was president of the Writer’s Club, editor of the school’s literary magazine, and captain of Destination ImagiNation “. Career[ edit ] The first show in which he was involved with community theater was West Side Story.
Even though Glee’s fave on-screen couple, Rachel and Finn and real-life couple, Lea Michele and Cory Monteith, ended with Cory’s tragic death, you might find bittersweet comfort in the fact that.
For most of the episode, New Directions languishes in defeat after losing Sectionals for the first time ever. They’re lost and directionless. I appreciate the juxtaposition of these two wildly different emotions, although it still bugs me that everything always comes up roses for Rachel and Kurt. Unfortunately the show tries to make everything happy by suggesting that winning doesn’t matter, it’s really all about friendship and music and other nonsense.
That’s a nice moral for the episode, but one that seems contradicted by the fact that Rachel wins something and it makes her life complete. It’s a bit like when Mitt Romney tried relating to the average American. Artie exposits that no one has ever fainted in the history of show choir competitions, which is the most unbelievable thing anyone has ever said on this show. Santana, the only sane voice of reason, immediately accuses Kitty of making Marley give up food because she knows Kitty is a vicious bitch.
No one ever follows up on this, even though it seems like kind of a big deal to me. Why is no one else concerned with the fact that Kitty almost killed Marley? Sue enters to gloat that, per the rules, leaving the stage mid-performance is grounds for disqualification, so the New Directions lose and the Warblers win.
And Goldie, who has been dating Kurt since should know. And you both need to want it to work. It’s also about not losing yourself in each other. Being together, two pillars holding up the house and the roof, and being different, not having to agree on everything, learning how to deal with not agreeing.

I hated her because I hate Gweneth Paltrow. Also, I don’t think that she should’ve made as many appearances as she did. But he was hot. The worst character on the show. Why they kept him so long is a mystery to me. They should have replaced him with Blake Jenner. Sam is just a boring character. Every single person in this list even Marley who is currently in place 1 is unique and has something special.
But there is nothing special about Sam at all. He is just a handsome guy and a good dancer. He is so cute.

In a bit of tragic irony, the fictional Finn Hudson had emerged as one of the show’s subtlest yet most solid inspirations. Advertisement He was whipsawed by adolescent trauma. He stumbled over his own feet. Yet he not only survived, he changed, and in almost every sense for the better. When we first met Finn, he was the arrogant jock who was helping his teammates toss Chris Colfer’s Kurt Hummel into a dumpster.
After a long, rough, and often awkward struggle with Kurt being gay, Finn became one of Kurt’s defenders, protectors and friends. Cory Monteith brought nuance to the role of Finn. He forgave them both. Finn broke off his engagement with Rachel Barry Lea Michele by disappearing and apparently joining the Army. After she moved on, he realized he still loved her and started trying to win back her trust.
SHARE Every Tuesday brings another episode of Glee, one of those shows that becomes a phenomenon–and once you’re hooked, practically an addiction. It’s smart, ironic, and hilarious in the way it sends up our expectations while gratifying our desire for interpersonal drama, happy endings and uplifting vocals. A musical about a high school Glee Club with a spot-on, so-cruel-she-crackles villain Jane Lynch as Sue Sylvester, head coach of the Cheerios cheerleading squad , a vanilla good-guy underdog Mr.
But improbably enough, it does get real when it tackles issues about family and relationships even if it does address said issues via performances of soft rock anthems by Journey, for example.

And yet Kurt is not just an icon of social injustice. On the flip side, Kurt is right to say that he should be as free as anyone to choose any duet partner; but is he really making a neutral choice, or is he again picking Sam out of unreciprocated interest, or using him to prove a point? In the end, Kurt decides to take the high road, freeing up Sam to duet and start dating Quinn, but the episode leaves to us to decide whether they all made the right decisions for the right reasons.
The last scene of her pushing the meatball with her nose, alone, Lady and the Tramp-style, was a classic Brittany joke, but also really poignant. There were essentially no adult storylines probably a plus, as it was in the season opener. There was no Puck his absence jarringly and unnecessarily explained by a juvie stint for stealing an ATM[! And there was thankfully no wheelchair football.
But the last and probably strongest pairing for me was Rachel and Kurt, as Rachel made the obvious-in-retrospect point that the two of them really are a lot alike: And the last number made the point in a lovely way by recreating a moment between two real-life divas so appropriate that, had it not existed, Glee probably would have had to invent it: One thing I like about Glee is that it operates on a different level of reality than other network dramas, and different sets of rules or none at all.
